From first call to submission
We help from the first draft to the day you submit.
- 1
Talk about your business and project
Tell us what your business does, what you want the grant for and what you have prepared. We help you see which programme is likely to fit.
- 2
Review and comment on the proposal
We read your application or draft section by section and comment on what is unclear, missing or should be told differently.
- 3
Tighten the business, tech plan and budget
We help line up the problem, solution, market, technology plan, timeline and budget so they tell one consistent story.
- 4
Rehearse the pitch and interview
We help refine the pitch deck, rehearse the presentation and prepare answers to the questions that usually come up in the interview.
- 5
Final check before you submit
One last pass over the documents and content before you press submit. After that, the decision is TED Fund’s.

TED Fund application questions
Short answers in plain words.
How is the fee charged?
No upfront fee. You pay only if the grant is approved: a 10% success fee on the amount received. Any other details are discussed and agreed with you before we start.
Who decides whether I get the grant?
Approval is decided by TED Fund, so it cannot be guaranteed, by us or by anyone else. What we do is help make your application as clear and complete as it can be before you submit.
Do I have to apply through a TED FELLOW?
IDEA and POC applications under TED Youth Startup go through a TED FELLOW network partner, an incubator or university. We help you prepare the proposal, budget and pitch alongside that application.
Can you write the whole proposal for me?
We help structure it, review it and comment section by section, but the content has to come from you: you are the one who presents it and answers questions about your business.
Which programme fits my business?
It depends on your stage. At the idea or prototype stage, TED Youth Startup may fit; with a product ready to sell, SfS: Go-to-Market may fit; and if you are ready to scale, TED Market Scaling Up may fit. Conditions change per round, so we go through the current announcement together on the first call.
What should I prepare for the first call?
Information about your business and the project you want funded. If you already have a draft proposal or pitch deck, send it over; if not, we can start with a conversation.
