1. Flooded home or vehicle — prepare your claim

Preparation aid only: your policy and insurer determine coverage, documents, deadlines and payment. Contact your insurer promptly; ask OIC at 1186 if you need insurance guidance. Never delay urgent safety work to collect evidence.

Do

  • When safe, photograph water marks before cleaning; separate flooded stock and record quantities and batches.
  • Have flood-exposed sockets, switchgear, appliances and vehicles professionally inspected before reuse, even if the outside looks dry.

Don’t

  • Do not start a flooded vehicle to test it; contact your insurer or recovery service.
  • Do not assume all flood damage, lost income or replacement costs are covered. Do not share identity or bank documents on public posts.

2. Recovery checklist — check completed tasks

3. Add up your recovery budget

Amounts in THB. Blank fields count as zero, so the total may be incomplete. Use actual quotes. This is not a market estimate, insurance payout or aid entitlement; lost revenue is excluded. Do not count the same expense twice.
