Many parents track their child’s growth on paper or by guesswork. WHO growth standards can tell whether a child is on track, but only once height and weight are calculated against children of the same age. The brief: let parents start that assessment with their LINE account, show the result as colour-coded zones anyone can read, and warn them when growth moves into a zone that needs attention.

We designed KidMap as a phone app that follows one parent: start with the LINE account they already have, enter the child’s growth details, and finish with a result they understand at once, without reading a growth chart themselves.

1. 1. Start: in with LINE, no new account

   The home screen has one main button, Continue with LINE. Parents sign up with their LINE account before their first analysis, and LINE stays one tap away at the bottom of the screen.

2. 2. Analyse: your child against same-age children, to WHO standards

   The app calculates BMI to WHO standards, compares percentiles with children of the same age and predicts adult height, all reached from the Analyse and Dashboard tabs.

3. 3. Result: colour zones read at a glance, with a warning when care is needed

   Results fall into three zones: on track, slightly below, and Danger Zone (needs special care). A result that lands in the Danger Zone triggers an immediate alert.

4. 4. On the phone: two languages, clearly labelled

   Screens are made for a phone, with four menu buttons along the bottom (Home, Analyse, Dashboard, LINE) and a Thai/English switch on every screen. Information about the VERTICAL+ dietary supplement is labelled optional, with a note that it is not medical advice and that parents should consult a paediatrician.
